GORMACK DIONE

I began my dance journey as a Street/Break dancer on roller-skates in Paris, France.

After moving to the UK over 26 years ago, I quickly developed a passion for Salsa at Bar Salsa Soho, London. It wasn’t long before I started teaching, and eventually, I established my own dance school in Leeds, where I pioneered cross-body Salsa styles. My expertise includes Salsa on1, New York Style on2, cha-cha-cha, Salsa Cubana, and Street Dance.

With my unique flow and style, I've had the privilege of teaching across the UK and internationally. My personal brand, ‘Dance Groove Momentum’, reflects my energy and creativity on the dance floor. Wherever I am, you can be sure I’ll be on the dance floor!

ALESSANDRA BARNES

Meet Alessandra, a dedicated member of the DGM team with a rich background in Latin ballroom dance. Starting out as the Captain of her University Team, she has competed nationally and internationally, bringing shows to prestigious stages and even dancing for ITV. Now Ale has shifted her focus to salsa, where she combines her foundations in Ballroom with a fresh approach to connection, footwork, and musicality.
